Quotes 21-30

“In our day and age, and in our spiritual winter world, the path of self-realization towards the Divine light is treaded upon very sparsely; it is a narrow and winding path, full of obstacles and challenges. The path towards self-destruction leading into the darkness of the underworld, however, is well travelled; it is a broad and brightly lit path, with neon signs advertising the many temptations that lead man astray. Darkness rules our world in such a way that man shuns righteous behavior and rather goes down with the masses. Blessed is he/she who consciously decides to follow the path towards the light, willingly accepting and overcoming all obstacles in their way! Their inner light and love will outshine everything, and they will live in bliss and fulfillment forever!”

“Be happy and light-filled inside yourself first, and then see it reflected and manifested in your outer circumstances and world. You have the creative spark inside yourself to attract the support and create the life you want. If evil touches you, learn your lesson from it, don’t react strongly to it nor get involved; rather get stronger in your visualization and manifestation work and then overcome and outgrow this evil. If you are anchored in the Divine Source, no evil can throw you off course nor force you into circumstances that are beyond your control and would make you suffer. If you don’t feel happy, fake it and pretend to be happy until you feel it in your heart and soul. This will make you resonate with the life you want, and abundance and fulfillment will stream into your life unendingly!”

“There is fullness of everything Good inside of yourself. Believe in your inner powers more than in the power of anyone or anything outside of yourself. You are the thinker and doer, and your outside world is just a reflection of your inner self, of your predominant thoughts and feelings. Focus on thoughts and feelings of freedom and an abundance of everything Good, because this is what your heart and soul truly desire. You more than deserve the Best in life! Goodness feels so much better than Evil. Therefore, sow Goodness, and Goodness you shall harvest!”

“The extreme rich of our world are often extremely greedy and self-absorbed. (Exceptions like true philanthropists and benevolent governments granted.) All poverty and misery could be eliminated, and wellbeing established even in the darkest corners. But evil rules this world during Kali Yuga (spiritual winter), and suffering and injustice prevail. To secure their power, the super-rich print endless amounts of fiat (paper) money. Most of it stays abstract, and hides in unusable banking records, unable to give relief to the poor. Self-help gurus inspire their followers to take their share from this big money pie, to live the life of a self-absorbed person. – The Divine supports those who have a selfless, giving heart; people who include the wellbeing of others in their spending and actions. Be purpose oriented, and see what you want to accomplish in your inner vision! This is how you create dharmic, Divine Will-supported actions and benefits for all of life in and around you! And this is how you stay away from the negative repercussions a self-absorbed life will inevitably attract.”

“The life force streaming from the Divine Source is pure, powerful, and revitalizing. And so is the Divine Will: It wants the highest best for you, that which is uplifting and fulfilling on all levels of life for you. If you can learn to trust It, you have an infallible compass towards ultimate freedom from any kind of bondage, as well as absolute, highest fulfillment of all your greatest, dearest dreams and wishes. Don’t let time and space and outer circumstances dissuade you from striving towards your highest best, for time and space are relative, and your outer circumstances are self-created and fleeting; together they all exist within the Divine Omnipresence anyway. The Divine is the Source of Life inside you that enables you to love yourself, help yourself, and be an asset to your environment and people. It loves and forgives you, and enables you to let this love flow over onto others and on nature itself. In a time and world where it is ‘cool’ to preoccupy the mind and heart with the Dark Lord’s presence and influence, it is even ‘cooler’, meaning ‘amazingly satisfying’ to follow the Divine promptings of the heart! For these will surely bring you back home to the blissful realms you might have forgotten, but still long for to return, deep in your heart!”

“Look at emotions as a broad spectrum of vibrations that make us feel a certain way. Sadness and agony are near the bottom – death is the ultimate bottom – and happiness and love are close to the top of the spectrum (enlightenment and bliss are at the top). Depending on the quality of everything we put into ourselves and then express outwards, we are either further down or further up on the scale. Heavy food, toxins, negative people, negative thoughts and actions put us on the lower end of the spectrum, and lighter food (like raw fruits and vegetables), positive people, positive thoughts, and positive actions put us closer to the top. And it feels much better to be towards the top of the scale. Life becomes an upward spiral of joy and positivity, rather than a downward spiral of self-destruction!”

“What we gave attention to, and what we did in the past, influences our present moment and how we feel and think and act. Depending on how reactive we are to these past influences (meaning, whether we feel more negative or positive emotions towards these past influences) determines the quality of our present thoughts, emotions, and actions. We can either stay caught in a vicious cycle of negative thoughts and emotions, or we can transcend them and turn them into positive thoughts and emotions. The choice is ours. We create negative or positive events in our lives based on the quality of thoughts and emotions we cultivate over time.”

― Maha Devi Li Ra La

“We have free will. We can choose to be a victim or a doer. We have the power to manifest what we want, for as long as we have persistence. Being responsible for what happens to us is empowering. It allows us to change and improve our circumstances. If we stay stuck in a victim attitude, we have sealed our fate and continue to suffer, hopelessly.”

“According to the Sanskrit Scriptures, Kali Yuga, also known as Spiritual Winter or Dark Age, is the age of the demon Kali, and is the last of the four ages the world goes through within the present Mahayuga. Kali Yuga began about 5000 years ago and will last another 427,000 years. Kali Yuga is the age of strife and quarrel, of vices, killing, and decadence.
At the beginning of Kali Yuga, Lord Krishna left Earth to return to his heavenly abode. He will come back to Earth at the end of Kali Yuga to restore justice and virtue, initiating the Satya Yuga, or Spiritual Spring.
During Kali Yuga, rulers tax their subjects unfairly, suppress true spirituality, and are a danger to the world. Among the people, sin keeps rising exponentially and virtue ceases to exist. Violence and lust run rampant, and thoughts of murder are commonly accepted. People tend to be more and more addicted to intoxicating drinks and drugs. Spiritual teachers, Gurus, won’t be respected anymore; instead their teachings are insulted and belittled. Brahmans are not wise or noble, Kshatriyas are no longer brave, and Vaishyas are unjust in their actions.
There is, however, a beam of hope during this Dark Age: the first 10,000 years are considered a Golden Age, because Krishna’s devotees, the bhakti yogis, are still present to help spiritual aspirants to transcend the limitations of mortal life.”

“Spiritual Spring, or Satya Yuga, is the first of four yugas (age or era), which lasts 1,728,000 years according to the Srimad Bhagavatam, which is the very essence of the Vedanta literature. The Srimad Bhagavatam describes the timespans of the demigods, where one year of the demigods is equal to 360 years of the human beings. Therefore the lengths of the yugas are much longer than other literary sources consider them to be. The duration of the Satya Yuga is therefore 4,800 x 360, or 1,728,000 years. The duration of the Tretā Yuga (Spiritual Summer) is 3,600 x 360, or 1,296,000 years. The duration of the Dvāpara Yuga (Spiritual Fall) is 2,400 x 360, or 864,000 years. And Kali Yuga (Spiritual Winter) is half the length of Dvāpara Yuga.
Satya Yuga, also called the Golden Age, is the age of truth and perfection, where everyone was saintly, and no religious ceremonies were necessary. The average lifespan of humans during Satya Yuga was 100,000 years (during Tretā Yuga it was 10,000 years, during Dvāpara Yuga it was 1000 years, and during the current Kali Yuga it is 100 years). Humans were tall, beautiful, honest, youthful, vigorous, intelligent, and virtuous. The Vedas were one. All mankind could attain to supreme enlightenment and blessedness. There was no agriculture or mining, as the earth yielded those riches on its own. Weather was pleasant and everyone was happy. There were no religious sects. There was no disease, decrepitude, or fear of anything.”
